Update on my deals :)

So since I last wrote this, I've saved an incredible amount of money. It's too fun not to share.

Last Sunday at CVS, I knew exactly what I was going to get to receive the most ECBs from them (extra care bucks). I bought revlon color stay mineral mousse foundation- $10. I then got a pack of 4 highlighters on sale for $1. Then, I also got coppertone color shield SPF 30 for $9.

Total: $20
I heard a rumor going around that if you asked their pharmacist about their "readyfill" that they do, then I receive a coupon booklet for free. So the first coupon I used was $4 off any $20 you spend totaling it to $16 rather than 20. Then, I had a coupon for $1 off any revlon makeup. Total - $15. Then I had an online coupon for $5 off any coppertone color shield. Total - $10. Then, I had an online coupon for $1 off any sharpie highlighters. The final bill was $9. BUT. I already had 9 ECB's from my previous purchase so I gave them that.

Out of pocket = .70!!! But ontop of all that, when my receipt printed out, I received 12 ECBs! I profited $3. Rock on.

Then, I bought an airwick motion air freshener at Target, originally 12.99, on sale for $6. Luckily, I had a coupon for $6 off any of that product. I got it for free! Then, softsoap hand wash was on sale for .99 and I had a coupon for $1= FREE! Then, I bought a scrubbing bubbles automatic shower cleaner, originally $14. I had a $7 off coupon + a target coupon for $5 off that product. My total without coupons would have been $21 but I paid $2!!!

But this is the best. Check it. CVS. This past Sunday...

2 Purex 3 in 1 laundry detergent sheets -8.99 (buy one get one free)
Phillips headphones-6.99
2 10 pack of pens-1.98
Glade soy candle-3.50

Without coupons=21.50
With coupons=.35!!!
Plus I received 9 ECBs when my receipt printed out.

Conclusion: if you love shopping and hate spending money, clip some coupons and have fun!!
Total spent out of pocket from 8/09-8/16=$3.05
Saved: Over $60

Yeah I actually just get coupons out of other peoples Sunday papers who don't clip. So that way I don't spend any money even on the coupons. Then you combine manufactures coupons with in store coupons, like CVS, and you end up coming out with free stuff! It's different each week (a good website to learn how to CVS from is southernsavers.com or iheartcvs.com) and follow the leader! It's simple and takes maybe an hour a week once you get used to it, but if you're saving $20-$40 a week, it's worth it!! Do it girl!!
