Katelynn Melissa Hunt

"Learning to desire God's will is not something we can accomplish by resolve and willpower. As we shall see, it occurs only when we live so close to God's heart that the rhythm of our heartbeat comes to reflect the divine pulse. Then and only then will we be able to truly pray, "Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Then and only then will this prayer be our deepest desire. So I ask you...Will you live your life for your own goals, comfort and pleasure? Or will you live the rest of your life for God's glory knowing that he has promised eternal rewards in heaven if we follow him?"

This quote was on my beloved friend, Kate Hunt's, myspace page. Kate went home to be with her Creator yesterday. I still can't believe it. We were best friends in high school, and I just emailed her last week and the last thing she said to me in her response was "Do tell me about you and your life now? Dating? Working? Living?" I never wrote her back, but I believe her last word was prophetic. I need to be living this life everyday for the glory of His Kingdom. Every breath. It's a gift.

This world isn't right without her here, but to God be the glory, in her life and in her death. Her favorite verse in Philippians 2 was one she lived by. Her life was not in vain, neither was her death. There will be a great harvest because of her life, and an even greater one for her death.

"...that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain."

Your life is a testimony of His love. This world isn't as beautiful without you, but your beauty rings throughout eternity. The Lord told me why He allowed someone who knew how to love so well come Home to be with Him so early in life, and it was because your anointing and gift of love is being dispersed throughout our entire loveless generation, and through your death, the ones who do not know Love will know Him for the very first time. I pray with all my heart that I can love even half of the way you loved, Kate. I love you Kate, and I'll see you soon. To God be the glory. Love, Shell.
